J’adore cette journée! / I am in love with this day!

 

J’aime bien cet arbre aux oiseaux. Ici, je l’ai étampé en noir et mis en couleur aux crayons. 

Pour le personnaliser, j’ai ajouté des petits mouvements tourbillonnants au crayon vert un peu plus foncé que le fond. 

Puis dessiné des mini spirales fantaisistes au marqueur noir très fin.

I am in love with this day!

I really like this bird tree. Here, I stamped it in black and colored it with pencils.

 To personalize it, I added small swirling movements in green pencil a little darker than the background. 

Then draw whimsical mini spirals with a very fine black marker.

Oiseau joyeux / Joyful bird

 J’ai eu beaucoup de plaisir avec cette magnifique étampe d’oiseau encadré de fleurs et feuillages. 

Seul le temps m’a empêchée de créer plus de cartes avec cette image, mais j’y reviendrai sûrement.

Les trois versions sont étampées en noir sur papier cartonné blanc, puis coloriées joyeusement de crayon de couleur, 

appliqué parfois en ajoutant un peu de Taltine (Gamesol) pour étaler façon aquarelle.

I had a lot of fun with this beautiful bird stamp framed with flowers and foliage.

 Only time has kept me from creating more cards with this image, but I will surely come back to it.

The three versions are stamped in black on white cardstock, then cheerfully colored with colored pencil, 

sometimes applied by adding a little Taltine (Gamesol) to spread out in a watercolor style.

Cette carte est telle quelle.

This card is as is.

Celle-ci est découpée au couteau de bricolage pour retirer le carré à l’oiseau. 

Un carré blanc d’environ la même dimension est collé en losange (sur lequel j’ai tracé un motif de feuillage dans l’esprit de l’étampe) 

pour que le carré à l’oiseau soir replacé ensuite en surélevant légèrement le tout.

This one is cut with a craft knife to remove the square with the bird. 

A white square of about the same size is glued in a diamond shape (on which I traced a foliage pattern in the spirit of the stamp) 

so that the square with the bird can then be replaced, slightly raising the whole thing.

Cette troisième carte est découpée presque entièrement et assemblée de nouveau mais différemment. 

Les spirales noires sont tracées au marqueur pour lier les éléments. 

C’est la plus longue carte à faire, à cause du découpage bien sûr, mais encore plus pour le plaisir de jouer 

avec les éléments jusqu’à trouver la combinaison gagnante pour le montage!

This third card is cut almost entirely and assembled again but differently. 

The black spirals are drawn with a marker to link the elements. 

It's the longest card to do, because of the cutting of course, but even more for the pleasure of playing 

with the elements until you find the winning combination for the layout!

Fleurs printanières / Spring flowers

 

Encore des fleurs de printemps! Cette fois, je les ai étampées 2 fois, en les inversant. 

Je les ai coloriées de crayon de couleur, puis ajouté un peu d’encre mauve, 

très légèrement mais en insistant sur les contours surtout. 

Comme il y avait de l’espace entre les rangées de fleurs, j’ai mis du ruban violet étroit. 

Puis collé le tout sur un carré de papier également violet, décentré à gauche.

 J’avais pensé étamper un texte (probablement embossé en blanc) dans l’espace à droite, 

mais finalement j’ai simplement ajouté ce papillon (embossé en blanc sur papier cartonné noir, 

colorié d’aquarelle iridescente et découpé).

More spring flowers! This time, I stamped them twice, reversing them. 

I colored them with colored pencil, then added a little purple ink, very lightly 

but emphasizing the outlines especially.

Since there was space between the rows of flowers, I put narrow purple ribbon.

 Then glued everything on a square of paper also purple, off-center to the left. 

I had thought of stamping a text (probably embossed in white) in the space on the right, 

but in the end I just added this butterfly (embossed in white on black cardstock,

 colored with iridescent watercolor and cut out).

Bonne Fête des Mères / Happy Mother's Day!

Bonne Fête à toutes les mamans!

Quel message plus approprié que de dire « Merci » à une maman? 

Merci d’être la personne que tu es, qui a fait la personne que je suis… 

Merci d’être là, tout simplement. Toujours là.

J’ai étampé 6 fois le motif floral. 3 en violet pour être découpés. 

Et 3 autres en vert olive sur un papier cartonné blanc, en les disposant en demi-couronne, 

tout en laissant de l’espace pour les 3 autres qui viendront s’y ajouter. 

Je les ai mis en couleur avec des marqueurs, réguliers et métalliques. 

J’ai étampé le mot « merci » dans l’espace restant, collé les fleurs découpées 

et dessiné au marqueur noir des spirales, lignes et points çà et là.

Happy Birthday to all mothers!

What more appropriate message than saying "Thank you" to a mom?

Thank you for being the person you are, who made the person I am… 

Thank you for simply being there. Always there.

I stamped the floral pattern 6 times. 3 in purple to be cut out. 

And 3 more in olive green on white cardstock, arranging them in a half-wreath,

 while leaving space for the 3 more to come. 

I colored them with markers, both regular and metallic. 

I stamped the word « merci" (thank you) in the remaining space, glued on the cutout flowers 

and added black marker to draw swirls, lines and dots here and there.

Les tulipes jaunes / The yellow tulips

 

C’est le printemps, et c’est un plaisir de créer des cartes fleuries! 

Celle-ci est structurée en premier lieu, grâce au pochoir de formes carrées (2 formes pleines 

coloriées en bleu ciel et deux contours de traits coloriés en ocre jaune). 

Un second pochoir, de petites tulipes, est également colorié en ocre jaune sur les carrés bleus. 

Pour ne pas dépasser, j’ai laissé en place le premier pochoir, le temps de faire mes tulipes.

Dans les carrés aux traits jaunes, j’ai collé en les soulevant légèrement, 

deux autres tulipes, cette fois faites avec une étampe. 

Il s’agit d’un trio de fleurs printanières que j’ai étampé 2 fois pour avoir mes 2 tulipes. 

Je ferai quelque chose d’autres avec les fleurs restantes. 

Ces tulipes ont été coloriées aux crayons puis découpées pour l’assemblage. 

J’ai retracé le tout de fin marqueur noir.

It's Spring, and it's a pleasure to create floral cards! 

This is structured first, thanks to the stencil of square shapes (2 solid shapes 

colored in sky blue and two outlines of lines colored in yellow ochre).

A second stencil, small tulips, is also colored in yellow ocher on the blue squares.

 In order not to go over, I left the first stencil in place, the time to make my tulips.

In the squares with yellow lines, I glued, lifting them slightly, two other tulips, this time made with a stamp. 

This is a trio of spring flowers that I stamped twice to get my 2 tulips. 

I will do something else with the remaining flowers. 

These tulips were colored with pencils and then cut out for assembly.

I traced the whole thing with fine black marker.

Des fleurs à profusion / Flowers galore

 

Lorsque j’utilise mes poudres Nuance, je fais souvent une belle série de fonds à utiliser plus tard. 

J’avais celui-ci, sur lequel j’ai étampé ce charmant motif de bouquet de fleurs. 

Je l’ai mis en couleur aux crayons de couleur, rehaussé de marqueur blanc ici et là, pour éclairer le tout. 

Afin de compléter la composition, j’ai ajouté des spirales, des points et un cadre au marqueur noir.

When I use my Nuance powders, I often make a nice series of backgrounds to use later. 

I had this one, which I stamped this lovely flower bouquet design on. 

I colored it with colored pencils, enhanced with white marker here and there, to lighten it up. 

In order to complete the composition, I added spirals, dots and a frame with black marker.

La fille aux oiseaux 2 / The bird girl 2

 

De retour avec une autre carte faite avec le même genre d’éléments qu’il y a quelques temps. 

Cette fois, le fond de la carte, toujours aux encres à l’alcool, m’a fait penser à un coucher de soleil, d’où l’envie de créer un paysage. 

Et cette fois encore, j’ai ajouté du crayon de couleur sur le motif de la jeune fille aux oiseaux. 

J’étais presque satisfaite, mais il manquait une petite touche de mystère. 

J’ai donc eu l’idée d’ajouter ces cercles de fleurs au pochoir. 

Et j’ai dessiné, très finement, en noir, quelques mini fleurs de plus. J

’aurais pu en mettre partout en suivant le cercle de fleurs, mais je me suis arrêtée là. 

J’avais peur que cela soit trop rigide, pas assez magique.

Back with another card made with similar elements as a while ago. 

This time, the background of the card, still in alcohol inks, made me think of a sunset, hence the desire to create a landscape. 

And this time again, I added colored pencil on the pattern of the girl with the birds. 

I was almost satisfied, but it lacked a little touch of mystery. 

So I had the idea to add these flower circles with a stencil. 

And I drew, very finely, in black, a few more mini flowers. 

I could have put it everywhere following the circle of flowers, but I stopped there.

 I was afraid it would be too rigid, not magical enough.
