Une autre carte pour la Saint-Valentin, cette fois un motif de coeurs étampé en rouge sur du papier cartonné blanc. 

Puis mis en couleur avec des crayons dans les tons de rouges et roses,

 légèrement étalés avec de la Taltine pour couvrir l’espace en douceur. 

Pas besoin de texte, le message est clair!

Another Valentine's Day card, this time a red stamped heart design on white cardstock. 

Then colored with pencils in shades of red and pink, lightly spread with Taltine  (Gamsol) to delicately cover the space. 

No need for text, the message is clear!

Chat amoureux / Cat in love

Vous savez combien j’aime les chats, alors chaque fois que j’en ai l’occasion, 

je me plais à redécouvrir des étampes charmantes, comme celle-ci. 

Au crayon de couleur, tout simplement…

You know how much I love cats, so every time I have the opportunity, 

I like to rediscover charming stamps, like this one. 

Just in colored pencil... 

Avec amour / With love

Toujours dans ma série pour la Saint-Valentin, voici un motif de coeur que j’ai embossé en noir 

avant de le mettre en couleur aux crayons étalés avec un peu de Taltine (Gamsol).

 J’étais sur un papier cartonné régulier et donc pas adéquat pour de l’aquarelle 

qui aurait été plus logique avec de l’embossage. 

Parce qu’il faut faire attention de ne pas égratigner l’embossage avec les crayons.

 Par contre, de l’avoir fait ainsi m’a fait découvrir quelque chose. 

La Taltine semble avoir légèrement fait déteindre le noir 

et cela donne une sorte d’ombrage qui me plait bien.

J’ai découpé le coeur en gardant un petit contour blanc, collé sur un papier 

dans les tons de rouge. Puis sur la carte rouge foncé. 

J’ai ajouté un peu de fantaisie au montage avec le rectangle blanc pour le texte 

et des attaches parisiennes aux 4 coins.

Still in my series for Valentine's Day, here is a heart pattern that I embossed in black

 before coloring it with pencils spread with a little Taltine (Gamsol). 

I was on regular cardstock and therefore not suitable for watercolor 

which would have made more sense with embossing. 

Because you have to be careful not to scratch the embossing with the pencils. 

On the other hand, having done it like this made me discover something. 

The Taltine seems to have faded the black slightly 

and it gives a kind of shading that I like.

I cut out the heart, keeping a small white outline, pasted on a paper in shades of red. 

Then on the dark red card. I added a nice touch to the layout 

with the white rectangle for the text and brads at the 4 corners.

 

Fleurs en coeurs / Heart shaped flowers

 

La Saint-Valentin approchant, j’ai un peu cherché dans mes étampes ce qui pourrait m’inspirer. 

Ici c’est le fait que les pétales de cette fleur soient en forme de coeur. 

D’ailleurs j’ai étampé une fleur de plus pour découper le coeur du centre et le placer sur le côté du montage. 

Le tout est mis en couleur avec mes crayons. 

Du marqueur noir et du Glossy Accents sur la coccinelle rehaussent le tout.

With Valentine's Day approaching, I looked a bit in my stamps for what could inspire me. 

Here it is the fact that the petals of this flower are heart-shaped. 

I stamped one more flower to cut out the heart from the center and place it on the side of the layout. 

Everything is colored with my pencils. 

Black marker and Glossy Accents on the ladybug enhance it all.

Un message secret / A secret message

Une autre carte pour la Saint-Valentin, cette fois ce sont des moutons qui sont en amour. 

Étampés en bleu foncé, rehaussé de bleu plus clair au crayon, et d’une touche de rouge pour le cœur. 

Le texte est étampé en rouge, et le même crayon bleu sert à nuancer le fond du petit carton. 

Le tour est encré du même rouge. 

Lignes et mini cœurs sont tracés au marqueur bleu foncé – et un peu de crayon bleu pour les lignes. 

Une bordure de cœurs en washi tape et un montage un peu différent complètent le tout.

Another card for Valentine's Day, this time it's sheep that are in love. 

Stamped in dark blue, enhanced with lighter blue pencil, and a touch of red for the heart. 

The text is stamped in dark red, and the same blue pencil is used to shade the background of the small cardstock. 

The edge is inked with the same red. 

Lines and mini hearts are drawn with a dark blue marker – and a little blue pencil for the lines. 

A border of washi tape hearts and a little different layout complete the card.

A similar Magenta stamp exists in English: "Let me tell you a secret... I love you".

 

En amour / In love

Avec la Saint-Valentin qui approche, c’est le temps de faire des cartes pour les amoureux. 

Celle-ci ne peut pas être plus simple : ces deux ours adorables, sont étampés en noir 

et rehaussés de crayon et marqueur blanc et de quelques touches indigo et noir.

 Puis de l’aquarelle iridescente est appliquée en gouttelettes pour donner l’illusion de flocons de neige.

Le texte en anglais dit très joliment: 

"Si les baisers étaient des flocons, je t'enverrais un blizzard".

With Valentine's Day approaching, it's time to make cards for lovers. 

This one couldn't be simpler: these two adorable bears are stamped in black 

and colored with white pencil and marker and a little indigo and black touches.

 Then iridescent watercolor is applied in droplets to give the illusion of snowflakes.

 

Bonne St-Valentin! / Happy Valentine's Day!

Bonne Saint-Valentin à tous!

 

Pour cette composition, j’ai étampé 4 fois le motif de cœur encadré avec de l’encre rouge. 

Deux fois tel quel, sur papier cartonné blanc. 

Et deux fois avec une petite technique amusante, que j’appelle « Kiss’n Twist ». 

Alors que l’étampe est bien encrée, j’ai appuyé une autre étampe, ici un petit motif de papillons-cœurs, 

sur la partie cœur du motif (en essayant de ne pas déborder sur le reste du sujet) 

et je l’ai légèrement fait pivoter ma petite étampe papillons.

 

Le résultat est que, en étampant le cœur encadré, cela ajoute un dessin fantaisiste à l’image initiale. 

Cette technique est idéale pour les étampes bien pleines, plus adéquates que les images trop délicates. 

En fait, cela repousse l’encre et déforme l’impression, créant à chaque fois un effet surprise. 

Il est bon d’essayer plusieurs motifs ensemble pour découvrir ceux qui produisent les meilleurs résultats.

 

J’ai découpé les 4 images, les ai assemblées sur un papier dans les tons de rouge et or, 

et, sur les deux images « normales » j’ai ajouté des gouttes de Liquid Pearls rouge.

 

 

 

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

 

For this composition, I stamped the framed heart motif 4 times with red ink. 

Twice as is, on white cardstock. 

And twice with a fun little technique, which I call "Kiss'n Twist". 

While the stamp is well inked, I pressed another stamp, here a small motif of butterflies-hearts, 

on the heart part of the motif (trying not to overlap on the rest of the subject) 

and I make slightly rotate my little butterfly stamp.

 

The result is that, by stamping the framed heart, it adds a whimsical design to the initial image. 

This technique is ideal for very bold stamps, more adequate than too delicate images. 

In fact, it repels ink and distorts the print, creating a surprise effect every time.

 It’s good to try several patterns together to see which ones produce the best results.

 

I cut out the 4 images, put them together on a piece of paper in shades of red and gold,

 and on top of the two "normal" images I added drops of red Liquid Pearls.

Voici une autre carte pour la Saint-Valentin, mais qui serait tout aussi appropriée 

pour un anniversaire, ou pour accompagner un cadeau.

En toute simplicité et rapide à faire, le motif étampé est rehaussé de crayon de couleur, 

alors que les cœurs sont faits à l’aide d’un pochoir et d’encre coloriée avec un petit applicateur mousse.

Une attache parisienne et un fil tortillé en boucle décorent le petit carton

 sur lequel le souhait est étampé.

Chat et souhait sont collés sur un papier bleu foncé et montés à droite des cœurs dessinés 

sur un grand papier cartonné blanc. 

Le tout est collé sur la carte.

Here is another card for Valentine's Day, but which would be just as suitable 

for a birthday, or to accompany a gift.

Simple and quick to make, the stamped pattern is enhanced with colored pencil, 

while the hearts are made using a stencil and colored with ink 

applied with small foam applicators.

A brad and a twisted looped thread decorate the small paper on which the text is stamped.

Cat and text are pasted on dark blue paper and mounted to the right of hearts pattern

 drawn on large white cardstock. Everything is mounted on the card.

for a friendship card as well as a love card, for children as well as for adults. I

t is simply colored with pencils and mounted on pretty decorative paper.

On peut ajouter une laque de type Glossy Accents sur le petit cœur, 

et même sur les museaux.

You can add a Glossy Accents type lacquer on the little heart, 

and even on the muzzles.

Une carte joyeuse pour offrir à la Saint-Valentin!

A happy card to offer for Valentine's Day!

Le cœur est étampé en violet sur un papier cartonné blanc, 

puis mis en couleur avec des marqueurs, crayons de couleur et Stickles.

Il est découpé partiellement, du côté gauche, en laissant un petit contour blanc pour un meilleur contraste, 

puis collé légèrement surélevé sur un papier décoratif rouge.

Sur la carte blanche, une série des mots « Pour toi » est étampée en diagonale 

pour créer une bordure à droite.

Un motif de pochoir est ajouté sur cette bordure.

The heart is stamped in purple on a white cardstock, 

then set in color with markers, colored pencils and Stickles.

It is cut partially, on the left side, leaving a small white outline 

for better contrast, then glued slightly raised on a red decorative paper.

On the white card, a series of words "Pour toi" (For you) is stamped diagonally 

to create a border on the right.

A stencil pattern is added on this border.
