Fleurs sauvages / Wildflowers

 

Encore une carte toute simple: un cercle de couleur tracé au pochoir 

et une étampe qui remplit bien cet espace créé. 

Du marqueur bleu sur les fleurs et du noir pour tracer cercle et cadre, 

et voilà, c’est fait!

Another very simple card: a circle of color drawn with a stencil 

and a stamp that fills in the space created. 

Blue marker on the flowers and black to draw circle and frame,

and voila, it's done!

Champ de fleurs / Field of flowers

 

De temps en temps, j’aime bien faire des cartes toutes en longueur comme celle-ci. 

Je me contente de les couper à la dimension des enveloppes standard de bureau.

 J’ai eu envie de faire un champ complet rempli de ces jolies fleurs! 

Au crayon de couleur, tout simplement. Pour les répartir également, 

j’ai d’abord étampé le motif au centre, puis de chaque côté, jusqu’à remplir la carte.

Once in a while, I like to make long cards like this. 

I just cut them to the size of standard office envelopes. 

I wanted to make a full field filled with these pretty flowers! 

Just in colored pencil. To distribute them evenly, 

I first stamped the design in the center, then on each side, until I filled the card.

Agapanthes / Agapanthus

 

Voici une carte extrêmement rapide à faire, de temps en temps c’est agréable! 

J’ai simplement brossé quelques couleurs d’encre sur du papier glacé (Kromekote) 

et j’ai étampé le motif à l’encre noire permanente. 

En fait, j’ai mis beaucoup plus de temps à décider quelle couleur de papier choisir 

pour mettre le tout en valeur!

Here is an extremely quick card to make, once in a while it's nice! 

I simply brushed a few ink colors onto glossy paper (Kromekote) 

and stamped the design in permanent black ink.

In fact, it took me a lot longer to decide which color of paper to choose 

to enhance it!

Fleurs toutes simples / Simple flowers

 

Parfois une carte peut être aussi simple que celle-ci. 

Un pochoir tracé en douce couleur pour le fond (ici un pochoir de 9 motifs carrés de fantaisie). 

Puis une étampe imprimée en couleur assortie, plus foncée, et rehaussée de quelques touches 

de crayon de couleur, et de marqueur noir, y compris pour les spirales ajoutées.

Sometimes a card can be as simple as this. 

A stencil traced in soft color for the background (here a stencil of 9 fancy square pattern). 

Then a stamp printed in darker matching color, and enhanced with a few touches 

of colored pencil and black marker, including for the added spirals.

Fleurs des champs / Field flowers

 Il y a quelques semaines j’ai fait une carte avec la même étampe de fleurs,

 également sur un fond fait avec des poudres Nuance sur papier aquarelle. 

Elle est faite sur le même principe, rehaussée de crayon de couleur 

et d’un pochoir de fleurs colorié en gris, tout en douceur. 

Du marqueur noir fin est utilisé pour retracer les fleurs et pour encadrer le tout

ou faire de petits cercles fantaisistes ici ou là.

A few weeks ago I made a card with the same flower stamp,

also on a background made with Nuance powders on watercolor paper. 

It is made on the same principle, enhanced with colored pencil and a stencil of flowers 

colored in gray, very gently. 

Fine black marker is used to trace the flowers and to frame everything

or make fancy little circles here or there.

Délicatement floral / Delicately floral

 

Voici un joli motif floral que j’ai d’abord étampé en gris clair puis rehaussé de crayon de couleur 

et de marqueur rouge, bleu or… et noir très fin pour ajouter des détails, lignes, points, spirales… 

Le charme vient également du montage très coloré.

Here is a pretty floral pattern that I first stamped in light gray then enhanced with colored pencil 

and red, blue and gold markers… and very fine black marker to add details, lines, dots, spirals… 

The charm also comes from the very colorful layout.

Fleurs et découpage 2 / Flowers and cutting 2

Comme je le disais dans mon blogue de jeudi dernier, 

il est difficile de s’arrêter de créer ce genre de cartes… 

En voici des rectangulaires. La rose-rouge est sur le même principe que les précédentes, 

mais la bleue est un peu différente car, avec un couteau de bricolage 

j’ai découpé et soulevé deux pétales à deux des fleurs (en diagonale) 

afin d’ajouter une fleur centrale qui soit partiellement dessus et dessous les autres fleurs.

As I said in my blog last Thursday, it's hard to stop creating these kind of cards...

Here are rectangular ones. The red-rose is on the same principle as the previous ones, 

but the blue one is a little different because, with a craft knife, 

I cut and lifted two petals from two of the flowers (diagonally) in order to add a central flower 

which is partially above and below the other flowers.

 

Fleurs et découpage 1 / Flowers and cutting 1

 

Me voici de nouveau avec une étampe assez ancienne qui, dans l’esprit de mon précédent blogue, 

peut se composer et se recomposer sans fin.

Ces trois cartes sont étampées en gris clair, assez neutre, puis chaque fleur 

est coloriée aux marqueurs pour de joyeuses couleurs. 

Une fois les couleurs sèches, j’ai tracé des lignes fantaisistes dans les pétales,

 ajouté dans les coeurs du crayon blanc et/ou plus de marqueur noir, des Stickles, au goût.

Lorsque j’ai fait cette série, j’ai étampé plus de motifs que le nombre de cartes souhaitées 

afin d’avoir des fleurs supplémentaires à découper.

Les montages sont sans fin car on peut autant jouer avec les couleurs 

qu’avec la disposition des fleurs ajoutées: au centre ou décentré, ou encore en couronne… 

en ajoutant éventuellement un souhait, installé suivant la forme de son texte. 

Le plus facile étant de l’étamper sur un papier à part et ensuite le coller 

à l’endroit qui paraît le plus approprié.

Je reconnais qu’une fois de plus il peut être difficile de terminer une seule carte,

 car on a envie d’en faire des dizaines!

Here I am again with a fairly old stamp which, in the spirit of my previous blog,

 can be composed and recomposed endlessly.

These three cards are stamped in light gray, fairly neutral, then each flower is colored in with markers for cheerful colors. 

Once the colors were dry, I drew whimsical lines in the petals, added in the hearts

 white pencil and/or more black marker, Stickles, to taste.

When I made this series, I stamped more designs than the quantity of cards 

I wanted in order to have extra flowers to cut out.

The layouts are endless because you can play as much with the colors as with 

the arrangement of the added flowers: in the center or off-center, or even in a wreath… 

possibly adding a wish, positioned according to the shape of its text. 

The easiest way is to stamp it on a separate paper and then stick it 

in the place that seems most appropriate.

I recognize that once again it can be difficult to complete a single card, 

because you want to do dozens!

Bon anniversaire / Happy anniversary

 Lorsque j’utilise mes poudres Nuance, je fais souvent une belle série de fonds sur papier aquarelle, 

et parfois je les retrouve, comme celui-ci… des années plus tard. 

Je l’ai d’abord étampé avec le motif de marguerites, que j’ai mis en couleur aux crayons. 

Puis, en faisant attention de ne pas trop chevaucher ces fleurs, j’ai ajouté au pochoir le motif de broche à poule, 

et la petite bordure de fleurs. 

Avec un marqueur noir fin j’ai retracé cette bordure de fleurs et un semblant de cadre à l’ensemble.

J’ai repris la même étampe de fleurs pour l’étamper en bordure du papier bleu de fond. 

J’ai étampé le souhait d’anniversaire sur une bande étroite blanche 

que j’ai installée avec des attaches parisiennes. 

When I use my Nuance powders, I often do a nice series of backgrounds on watercolor paper, 

and sometimes I find them, like this one… years later.

First I stamped it with the daisy pattern, which I colored with pencils. 

Then, being careful not to overlap these flowers too much, I stenciled the chicken brooch pattern, 

and the small border of flowers. With a fine black marker I traced this border of flowers 

and a sort of frame to the whole.

I took the same stamp of flowers to stamp it on the edge of the blue background paper. 

I stamped the birthday wish on a narrow white strip that I attached with brads.

Fleurs printanières / Spring flowers

 

Encore des fleurs de printemps! Cette fois, je les ai étampées 2 fois, en les inversant. 

Je les ai coloriées de crayon de couleur, puis ajouté un peu d’encre mauve, 

très légèrement mais en insistant sur les contours surtout. 

Comme il y avait de l’espace entre les rangées de fleurs, j’ai mis du ruban violet étroit. 

Puis collé le tout sur un carré de papier également violet, décentré à gauche.

 J’avais pensé étamper un texte (probablement embossé en blanc) dans l’espace à droite, 

mais finalement j’ai simplement ajouté ce papillon (embossé en blanc sur papier cartonné noir, 

colorié d’aquarelle iridescente et découpé).

More spring flowers! This time, I stamped them twice, reversing them. 

I colored them with colored pencil, then added a little purple ink, very lightly 

but emphasizing the outlines especially.

Since there was space between the rows of flowers, I put narrow purple ribbon.

 Then glued everything on a square of paper also purple, off-center to the left. 

I had thought of stamping a text (probably embossed in white) in the space on the right, 

but in the end I just added this butterfly (embossed in white on black cardstock,

 colored with iridescent watercolor and cut out).

Bonne Fête des Mères / Happy Mother's Day!

Bonne Fête à toutes les mamans!

Quel message plus approprié que de dire « Merci » à une maman? 

Merci d’être la personne que tu es, qui a fait la personne que je suis… 

Merci d’être là, tout simplement. Toujours là.

J’ai étampé 6 fois le motif floral. 3 en violet pour être découpés. 

Et 3 autres en vert olive sur un papier cartonné blanc, en les disposant en demi-couronne, 

tout en laissant de l’espace pour les 3 autres qui viendront s’y ajouter. 

Je les ai mis en couleur avec des marqueurs, réguliers et métalliques. 

J’ai étampé le mot « merci » dans l’espace restant, collé les fleurs découpées 

et dessiné au marqueur noir des spirales, lignes et points çà et là.

Happy Birthday to all mothers!

What more appropriate message than saying "Thank you" to a mom?

Thank you for being the person you are, who made the person I am… 

Thank you for simply being there. Always there.

I stamped the floral pattern 6 times. 3 in purple to be cut out. 

And 3 more in olive green on white cardstock, arranging them in a half-wreath,

 while leaving space for the 3 more to come. 

I colored them with markers, both regular and metallic. 

I stamped the word « merci" (thank you) in the remaining space, glued on the cutout flowers 

and added black marker to draw swirls, lines and dots here and there.

Des fleurs à profusion / Flowers galore

 

Lorsque j’utilise mes poudres Nuance, je fais souvent une belle série de fonds à utiliser plus tard. 

J’avais celui-ci, sur lequel j’ai étampé ce charmant motif de bouquet de fleurs. 

Je l’ai mis en couleur aux crayons de couleur, rehaussé de marqueur blanc ici et là, pour éclairer le tout. 

Afin de compléter la composition, j’ai ajouté des spirales, des points et un cadre au marqueur noir.

When I use my Nuance powders, I often make a nice series of backgrounds to use later. 

I had this one, which I stamped this lovely flower bouquet design on. 

I colored it with colored pencils, enhanced with white marker here and there, to lighten it up. 

In order to complete the composition, I added spirals, dots and a frame with black marker.

Fleurs au coucher du soleil / Flowers at sunset

 J’ai fait un fond de poudres Nuance dans les tons de pêche sur un carré de papier aquarelle. 

Puis, une fois bien sec, j’ai étampé quelques fois le trio de fleurs, remplissant ainsi une partie de ce carré. 

Pour ajouter au décor, j’ai choisi un pochoir de mandala que j’ai colorié en orangé 

appliqué inégalement pour ne pas trop interférer avec la mise en couleur des fleurs. 

Celle-ci s’est faite aux Tombows et au pinceau mouillé pour mieux étaler la couleur. 

Le tout est rehaussé de marqueur noir assez fin. 

Comme j’aime bien utiliser mes restes de papier, j’ai utilisé deux couleurs pour le montage de la carte.

I made a background of Nuance powders in peach tones on a square of watercolor paper. 

Then, once very dry, I stamped the trio of flowers a few times, thus filling part of this square. 

To add to the decor, I chose a mandala stencil that I colored in orange applied unevenly 

so as not to interfere too much with the coloring of the flowers. 

This was done with Tombows and a wet brush to better spread the Colors.

 Everything is enhanced with a fairly fine black marker. 

As I like to use my scraps of paper, I used two colors for mounting the card.

Un petit oiseau m'a dit... / A little bird told me...

 

Le motif de fleur a été étampé deux fois en gris, puis j’ai ajouté du crayon de couleur 

ou du marqueur métallique dans les coeurs, le contour des pétales ainsi que les tiges et les points. 

J’ai volontairement étampé mes fleurs de manière à garder un espace pour étamper un texte. 

Et je me suis amusée à ajouter un petit oiseau pour venir appuyer le message de ce texte.

Désolée, le texte vous paraîtra un peu flou, mais (personne n’est parfait!) 

je l’ai mal étampé et je l’ai donc retravaillé pour essayer de le « sauver »… 

Oui, évidemment c’est toujours quand tout le reste est terminé que l’on rencontre ce type de problème!!!

The flower design was stamped twice in gray, then I added colored pencil or metallic marker in the hearts, 

the outline of the petals and the stems and the dots. 

I deliberately stamped my flowers so as to keep a space to stamp a text. 

And I had fun adding a little bird to support the message of this text, 

meaning in English: « A little bird told me that it is your birthday ».

Sorry, the text will look a little blurry, but (nobody's perfect!) I stamped it wrong

 so I reworked it to try and "save" it... Yes, of course it's always when everything

 is over that we encounter this type of problem!!!

Coucher de soleil en fleurs / Blooming sunset

 

Sur un papier cartonné régulier j’ai appliqué des encres à l’alcool en lignes. 

Une fois bien sec, j’ai étampé le motif de fleurs que j’ai rehaussé de crayons de couleur. 

Puis j’ai ajouté du détail au fond, à l’aide des deux pochoirs, en retraçant certains traits au fin marqueur noir, 

et en ajouté des points et losanges au marqueur blanc.

On a regular cardstock I applied alcohol inks in lines. 

Once dry, I stamped the flower pattern that I enhanced with colored pencils. 

Then I added detail to the background, using the two stencils, tracing certain lines with a fine black marker, 

and added dots and diamonds with a white marker.

Fleurs au crépuscule / Flowers at dusk

 Sur un fond de papier aquarelle colorié de poudres Nuance, 

j’ai étampé plusieurs fois le motif de fleurs, dans toutes les directions,

 pour bien couvrir la surface (mais sans chevauchement). 

J’ai mis en couleur les fleurs et les feuilles au crayon de couleur. 

Puis j’ai ajouté quelques spirales au marqueur noir, et des taches en losange 

ou points avec un marqueur blanc.

On a background of watercolor paper colored with Nuance powders, 

I stamped the flower pattern several times, in all directions, 

to cover the surface well (but without overlapping). 

I colored the flowers and leaves with colored pencil. 

Then I added some swirls with black marker, 

and diamond-shaped spots or dots with white marker.

Trio de fleurs / Flower trio

 

Le fond est fait d’un papier aquarelle colorié aux poudres Nuance vaporisées d’eau. 

Une fois bien sec, j’ai étampé le motif de fleurs en noir. 

J’ai colorié fleurs et feuilles aux marqueurs Tombow légèrement déteints avec un pinceau humide pour un effet d’aquarelle. 

Une fois sec, j’ai ajouté du marqueur noir et du blanc dans le coeur des fleurs.

 Des rubans et une attache parisienne qui retient la boucle sont ajoutés au montage.

The background is made of watercolor paper colored with Nuance powders sprayed with water. 

Once dry, I stamped the flower pattern in black. 

I colored flowers and leaves with Tombow markers and a damp brush to create a watercolor effect. 

Once dry, I added black and white markers in the heart of the flowers. 

Ribbons and a brad that holds the loop are added to the layout.

Fleur ensoleillée / Sunny flower

 

Sur un fond d’encres à l’alcool très pâles appliquées en lignes sur papier glacé (Kromekote), 

j’ai étampé en vert le grand motif de fleurs (attendre que ce soit bien sec avant d’étamper). 

Je l’ai légèrement retouché de noir à l’aide d’un marqueur particulièrement fin. 

La grande fleur est faite de la plus petite des fleurs du duo de pochoirs (masques),

 coloriée d’encre orangée et rehaussée de crayons de couleur assortis.

J’ai choisi de faire un montage un peu différent en collant les éléments de manière à ce que la fleur ne cache pas trop le motif vert. 

Le bandeau de texte est en diagonale pour la même raison. 

Des spirales et lignes noires tracées au marqueur un peu moins fin sont finalement ajoutées.

On a background of very pale alcohol inks applied in lines on glossy paper (Kromekote), 

I stamped the large flower motif in green (wait until perfectly dry before to stamp). 

I touched it up slightly with a particularly fine black marker. 

The large flower is made from the smaller of the flowers in the duo of stencils (masks), 

colored in orange ink and enhanced with matching colored pencils.

I chose to make a slightly different layout by gluing the elements 

so that the flower does not hide the green pattern too much. 

The text banner is diagonal for the same reason. 

Spirals and black lines drawn with a little less fine marker are finally added.

Fleur gribouilli / Doodle flower

 

Sur un papier glacé (Kromekote) j’ai appliqué des lignes d’encres à l’alcool. 

Une fois bien sec, j’ai étampé la fleur 3 fois, rehaussée de marqueurs Tombow dans les tons de mauve et de vert. 

Un peu de marqueur noir tracé en points ou spirales ici et là complètent le tout.

On a glossy paper (Kromekote) I applied lines of alcohol inks. 

Once dry, I stamped the flower 3 times, enhanced with Tombow markers in shades of mauve and green. 

A bit of black marker drawn in dots or spirals here and there completes the whole thing.

Les fleurs roses / The pink flowers

 

J’ai d’abord mis en couleur un carton de papier glacé (Kromekote) avec des encres à l’alcool. 

Une fois bien sec, j’ai tracé en mauve le pochoir de fleurs. 

Puis j’ai étampé deux fois le motif de fleurs et feuilles à l’encre permanente noire.

 J’ai ajouté des couleurs aux Tombow ici et là, ainsi que tracé de lignes ou des points au marqueur blanc. 

Comme il y avait un espace plus libre dans le coin supérieur droit, je pensais y ajouter un texte, 

mais finalement j’ai jugé plus amusant de coller ces deux fleurs qui me restaient

 d’un autre projet: étampées sur papier blanc régulier et mise en couleur aux crayons, 

puis découpées, pétales légèrement recourbés.

I first colored a glossy paper (Kromekote) with alcohol inks. 

Once dry, I traced the flower stencil in purple. 

Then I stamped the flower and leaf design twice with permanent black ink. 

I added colors with Tombow markers here and there, as well as drawing lines or dots with a white marker. 

Since there was more free space in the upper right corner, I was thinking of adding some text there, 

but in the end I thought it was more fun to paste these two flowers that I had left over 

from another project: stamped on regular white paper and put in color with pencils, 

then cut out, slightly curved petals.
