Les tulipes jaunes / The yellow tulips

It's Spring, and it's a pleasure to create floral cards!
This is structured first, thanks to the stencil of square shapes (2 solid shapes
colored in sky blue and two outlines of lines colored in yellow ochre).

A second stencil, small tulips, is also colored in yellow ocher on the blue squares.
In order not to go over, I left the first stencil in place, the time to make my tulips.

In the squares with yellow lines, I glued, lifting them slightly, two other tulips, this time made with a stamp.
This is a trio of spring flowers that I stamped twice to get my 2 tulips.
I will do something else with the remaining flowers.
These tulips were colored with pencils and then cut out for assembly.

I traced the whole thing with fine black marker.

La tulipe rouge / The scarlet tulip

I took the same tulip as some time ago.
But this time, stamped in green on a white cardstock, I colored it with pencils,
smoothing it out with Taltine (Gamsol).
I filled in the frame a bit with a thin black marker. And I added a little touch of color with 4 tiny red brads.
Finally, I stamped « le printemps » (the Spring) several times on decorative paper in shades of green.

Que cette journée soit belle! / May this day be beautiful!

As Spring is approaching (we always hope so!), I did a card with this tulip motif.
Here, it is embossed in black on a background of watercolor cardstock colored with Nuance powders.
I added Tombow marker, adding some watercolor effect with a wet brush to spread it better.
And I drew small circles with white colored pencil, to lightly decorate the background
by imagining pollens in the air.

La tulipe / The tulip

This time, if the method remains the same as my previous cards,
I added a flight of stenciled butterflies.
For the rest, stencil circle with blue ink delicately applied, tulip colored with pencils,
black marker to draw decoration here and there…
