Bonne Fête des Mères!

Toujours dans la même série de cartes aux motifs disposés autour d’un cercle,

 voici une image emblématique du printemps : un oiseau et son nid 

plein de jolis petits œufs!

Toujours la même méthode, un cercle au pochoir délicatement colorié d’encre plutôt pâle, 

un ou plusieurs motifs étampés de manière à laisser de la place au texte, 

et des crayons de couleur ou marqueurs pour rehausser l’ensemble.

Ici, le motif de pétales étampé est repris au marqueur noir,

 tracé en petit pour combler les espaces vides.

Happy Mother's Day!

Still in the same series of cards with patterns arranged around a circle, 

here is an emblematic image of Spring: a bird and its nest full of pretty little eggs!

Always the same method, a stencil circle delicately colored in rather pale ink, 

one or more stamped patterns so as to leave room for the text, 

and colored pencils or markers to enhance the whole.

Here, the pattern of stamped petals is repeated in black marker, 

traced in small to fill in the empty spaces.

J’ai d’abord créé un fond d’encres à l’alcool sur un papier cartonné blanc. 

Sur le feutre applicateur, j’ai versé des lignes d’encres et un peu de solution diluante (Blending Solution), 

mais pas trop pour que cela reste un peu sec, et donc laisse pas mal de papier blanc. 

Puis, j’ai remis des gouttes des mêmes 3-4 couleurs sur le feutre et j’ai ajouté des petites taches ici et là. 

Une fois bien sec, j’ai étampé mes marguerites en noir, et les ai rehaussées de crayon de couleur. 

J’ai collé le tout sur un papier gris, puis ajouté le souhait sur la carte blanche.

I first created a background of alcohol ink on a white cardstock. 

On the applicator felt, I poured ink lines and a little Blending Solution, 

but not too much for it to stay a little dry, and therefore leave a lot of white on cardstock. 

Then, I added drops of the same 3-4 colors on the felt and I added small spots here and there. 

Once dry, I stamped my daisies in black, and enhanced them with color pencil. 

I stuck everything on a gray paper, then added the text on the white card.

Voici une carte toute simple à faire.

J'ai tamponné un encreur Distress sur un carré d'acrylique et j'ai étampé ce dernier sur un papier cartonné blanc, répétant cette étape 3 fois, 

en décalant mes carrés. Cela crée un fond plus en douceur que si j'avais étampé mes encreurs directement sur le papier.

J'ai ensuite étampé sur la gauche un motif d'écriture à l'encre beige pâle.

J'ai ajouté mon sujet principal en noir. Et j'ai étampé le mot d'amour sur un petit carton. 

Un papier de couleur pour le montage, puis un ruban et une jolie boucle complètent la carte.

Here is a very easy card to do.

I pressed Distress ink pad on an acrylic square and stamped this square on a white cardstock, repeating this step 3 times, shifting my squares. 

This creates a smoother background than if I had stamped my ink pads directly onto the paper.

I then stamped on the left a script pattern in pale beige ink.

I added my main subject in black. And I stamped the word of love on a small cardboard. 

Then, a colored paper for the layout, a ribbon and a nice bow complete the card.
