Cardinal!

 Je fais partie des chanceux qui ont des cardinaux dans leur jardin. 
Cette image évoque donc encore plus pour moi cette joyeuse touche de rouge qui se pose sur mes cèdres. 

En toute simplicité, je l’ai étampé en noir sur un papier vert étroit, comme je l’aurais fait pour un marque page. 

Enserré de rubans et d’une attache parisienne, collé ensuite, surélevé par un carton fin, 

sur un autre papier découpé d’une amusante bordure décorée de marqueurs or et argent. 

Un peu de crayon de couleur pour rehausser l’oiseau et les branchages, 

puis un picotage au marqueur scintillant pour évoquer une petite neige.

I am one of the lucky ones who have cardinals in their backyard. 

This image thus evokes even more for me this joyful touch of red which arises on my cedars. 

Quite simply, I stamped it in black on a narrow green paper, just like I would for a bookmark. 

Ornated with ribbons and a brad, then glued, raised by a thin cardboard, 

onto another paper cut with a fun border decorated with gold and silver markers.

 A little colored pencil will enhance the bird and the branches, then little dots are added 

with a sparkling marker to create a light snow.
