C’était il y a cinq ans – It was five years ago

Il y a cinq ans déjà, le 11 mars 2011, un terrible tsunami touchait le Japon. 

Dans les mois suivant, à l’initiative d’une merveilleuse amie japonaise, Etsumi Ogino, 

Magenta sortait deux étampes commémoratives dans le but de recueillir des fonds 

pour aider un refuge dédié aux animaux rescapés du tsunami. 

En souvenir de ce tragique événement et de ses conséquences, voici ces étampes et des cartes réalisées avec elles.

Five years ago, on March 11^th, 2011, a devastating tsunami struck Japan. 

In the following months, at the initiative of a wonderful Japanese friend, Etsumi Ogino, 

Magenta came out with two commemorative stamps to raise funds to help a shelter for animals rescued after the tsunami. 

In memory of this tragic event and its consequences, here are these stamps and cards made with them.
