Here is another simple project.
A nice background is colored with touches of alcohol inks, drops of several colors
added on a felt applicator and a little Blending Solution.
The effects of circles are made by rotating the felt here and there.
Some stencil patterns are added gently.

The flowers are stamped twice on this paper, and three more times on white cardstock
to cut out three complete flower.
All these flowers are colored with colored pencils.
The three cut flowers are added to the layout, creating a diagonal that crosses the whole card.
Some fanciful lines are drawn with a blue marker.

Here is a stamp that is not recent, but that I always enjoy coloring with pencils.
These agapanthus flowers remind me of my travels to California.
Here, I cut the pattern leaving a small border around the square.
And I mounted it on a background created on glossy paper (Kromekote) with alcohol inks,
to which I added a stencil that decorates the space nicely, without too much masking the colors obtained by the inks.

Again, I started with a Nuance powder background on a watercolor cardstock, with light colors
and leaving some white to add to the brightness of the card.

Once dry, I stamped the dandelion pattern in black, to the right of the paper, close to the bottom the edge (it could even come out a little for more safety, we do not want that the flowers "float" in the air...).

Then I stamped the onion flower pattern several times, in all directions.

By choosing a pale but contrasting color, I decorated the background of the card with the diamond stencil.

I finally added colored pencil, and white, black and gold markers, including mini white diamond shapes to look like the stencil.

I must confess that, for this card, I was strongly inspired by a creation,
last year, of one of my colleagues DT.
I found the idea of a circle surrounded by happy patterns and flowers was a lovely idea.

I first made a Nuance powders background, on a watercolor cardstock that I cut with scissors using the round stencil to draw the circle. I stamped in light green the flying butterflies, and the word "Merci" in dark blue. I could also have used the flying butterflies stencil for a similar effect, the butterflies would have been just a little bigger.

The same round stencil was used to draw a circle on the card, to know where to place the small stamps. I tried to keep about the same distance between each couple of stamps, playing with 3 colors of inks (mini flower in blue and dotted background in light green, leaves in darker green and dots in blue) .

I cut a larger dark blue circle to match the color of the word "Merci".

I then stamped in blue and green tones several flowers, small and large, which I enhanced with colored pencil
and marker and that I cut out.

I finally assembled everything, creating a nice Spring card.

This time I chose older stamps, inspired by the movement of birds in my garden,
so happy to enjoy the Spring.

The pretty bird house is stamped in olive green on a yellow cardstock, then put in color with pencils.
Fanciful lines are drawn to frame the subject.

On a rectangle of white cardboard, the foliage images are stamped in two corners,
some leaves cut with a craft knife to lift them over the bird house pattern.

Still on the theme of birds and spring, here is a pretty combination of stamp and stencils.

I first prepared a Nuance powders background. Once dry, I stamped the branch of flowers twice, to create a half wreath in the left corner. I then added the bird with the stencil, then the diamond shapes to decorate the right corner
(lightly so as not to cover the bird).

I enhanced the patterns with colored pencil and with black and white markers,
and added dots of gold marker to the stamens.

Jeudi avec… Nathalie / Thursday with… Nathalie

Bonjour!

Hello!
Today I present you a pretty field of blue flowers.
Well, I recognize, most of the time I put this stamp in color in shades of red,
since it is about poppies. But as there are blue poppies,
I was inspired by them.

Once again, I first created a background on watercolor cardstock with Nuance powders. Once dry, I stamped several times my flower pattern, spreading over the entire surface. I then added some green arabesques with a first stencil, taking care to keep the flowers clean. I colored them with colored pencils, and I added some white pencil to slightly outline the arabesque patterns. With a light blue metallic marker, I scribbled diamonds and dots to complete my project. Finally, I added on the card a diagonal decoration, using another stencil of arabesques, before sticking my main subject, off center,
mounted on white and blue papers.
